Solo modes work offline

Campaign, Scenarios and Arcade events can be played without being online. Online multiplayer and connected Arcade leaderboards require a connection. That distinction matters if you want a short solo session while travelling or when your internet is unavailable: the presence of an online leaderboard does not make the entire Arcade mode online-only.

Arcade’s connected leaderboard compares your best time with friends; it is not a public global leaderboard. A solo time-trial session and an online race are different activities, even though both can involve comparing performances.

Campaign rewards change the next choice

Campaign is a runs-based progression through the Galactic League. You choose events along a branching route, earn parts and upgrades, and prepare your craft in the paddock. Once an event is selected, the route does not simply let you go back and choose the other branch. Too many crashes end the tour and send you into another attempt, with only some earned perks and unlocks carrying forward.

Choose the vehicle format online

If your main interest is podracing, use that format rather than expecting every regular speeder event to accept a podracer. If you are choosing between editions, remember that Deluxe adds three particular Arcade events; the base game already has Arcade as a mode. Buying Deluxe is not required merely to access Arcade or its starting podracing entry.

  • Speeder races support up to 12 online players.
  • Podracer races support up to 8 online players.
  • The two limits describe separate racing formats, not a 20-player combined lobby.
