Why skim speeders stand apart
The skim speeder was created for this game by Fuse Games and Lucasfilm Games. It sits between the bike and landspeeder: less agile than a bike, less resilient than a landspeeder, but able to turn accumulated momentum into high speed. Its Knife Edge movement lets it slice through sharp corners rather than behave like a conventional car.
Being the fastest speeder through momentum is a narrower claim than being faster than every podracer. Keep the three speeder classes and the high-speed podracing format distinct when comparing vehicles. The handling goal is to give each class its own identity, not to let one choice erase the others.
Find your starting point
This is a preference guide, not a promise that any class is the easiest or strongest. Your own control comfort and the event you enter matter. Use an Arcade challenge to compare the driving feel before making a long campaign run around a particular approach.
- Prefer a familiar car-like handling reference? Try a landspeeder.
- Want to explore nimble movement? Give the speeder bike a run.
- Enjoy preserving momentum and timing a sharp turn? Try the skim speeder.
- Want the extreme-speed format? Arcade offers podracing from the start.
Build choices and bonus craft
Hibi’s workshop lets you equip earned or purchased parts for stat boosts and abilities. Exact part effects, acquisition conditions and competitive combinations are not yet a complete guide. Deluxe adds one landspeeder, one bike and one skim speeder; it is a bonus set within the existing classes rather than three new classes. Podracers have their own restriction: they are not customizable.
