Why the full-screen format was chosen

Fuse Games prioritized frame rate, visual fidelity and the cinematic full-screen experience. CEO Matt Webster described the compromises needed for multiple local views as beyond what the studio wanted to make. That explains the design choice; it does not announce a future split-screen patch or give a date for one.

There is no confirmed local co-op replacement to plan around. A community modification, remote-play workaround or later update would need its own compatibility evidence. None should be assumed to turn the launch version into a reliable couch racer.

Options for a household

A controller is a supported way to play, and PC also supports keyboard and mouse. Racing-wheel, HOTAS and HOSAS support are not planned. A second controller or a steering-wheel setup will therefore not add a missing local mode. Choose the purchase around the way your household will actually play, especially if everyone expects to share one television.

  • For alternating solo turns, use Arcade or a Scenario event instead of assuming that a campaign run is a short race.
  • For simultaneous competition, give each player their own supported device and access to the game, then use online multiplayer.
  • For a mixed-platform group, prepare crossplay and account access before the session.
